CDCP Renewal Deadline Approaching: What Our  Dental Cleaning Patients Need to Know

02 Apr, 2026 | By mystica.ohp@gmail.com

As a clinic that offers Vancouver teeth whitening and dental cleaning, Pearl proudly accepts the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).

At Pearl, we recognize how the Canadian Dental Care Plan has transformed access to affordable dental services for millions of Canadians, and the 2026 renewal window is now open. Unlike some government programs, CDCP doesn’t automatically renew. If you’re currently enrolled in CDCP, you must proactively renew enrollment to confirm ongoing eligibility.

Patients who want to continue CDCP must reapply between April 15 and June 1, 2026, to maintain coverage for the upcoming benefit year.

Why Renewing Matters

If you miss the June 1st deadline, your CDCP coverage will end June 30th, 2026. Any dental cleaning or work required after that won’t be covered–or reimbursed–until you submit a new application.  Applications and renewals can be completed online through your My Service Canada Account, by phone at 1-833-537-4342, or in person at any Service Canada office.

Before renewing, make sure you’ve filed your 2025 tax return and received your Notice of Assessment, as your adjusted family net income determines both eligibility and co-payment rates.

Pearl Dental Hygiene and Teeth Whitening in Vancouver Accepts CDCP

As registered hygienists focused on Vancouver Teeth Whitening and dental cleaning, the team at Pearl has voluntarily participated in the Canadian Dental Care Plan since day one. Our commitment to accessible dental care runs deep. Mystica and former owner Emma even had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Jagmeet Singh to discuss the importance of dental coverage for Canadians.

All CDCP members visiting Pearl receive coverage for the equivalent of one dental cleaning per year. Since we follow the provincial fee guide and charge hygienists’ rates, your estimated out-of-pocket expense runs around $93–$105 for dental cleaning in Vancouver.

Coverage Tiers Based on Income

The amount you pay depends on household income:

Family Net Income and Co-payment

Under $70,000 – Co-payment 0%

$70,000–$79,999 – Co-payment – 40%

$80,000–$89,999 Co-payment – 60%

Families earning $90,000 or more aren’t eligible for the program.

No Insurance? We’ve Got You Covered

If you don’t qualify for the CDCP and don’t have private dental insurance, Pearl offers 10% off dental cleaning in Vancouver to help keep your oral health on track. Regular preventive care is the foundation of a healthy smile and a better canvas for our professional teeth whitening services.
