COVID-19 DENTAL HYGIENE SERVICES

It is May 1st, and there is a little bit of a glimmer of hope that small businesses will begin to re-open in the near future. We are hoping that are dental hygiene services are a part of that plan.

We are missing our craft and our clients very much at Pearl Boutique, but we will not be re-opening until it is deemed safe to do. We are awaiting the recommendations of Dr. Bonnie Henry and The College of Dental Hygienist of BC.

The Registered Dental Hygienists at Pearl Boutique will be taking every precaution to maintain the safety of our clients and ourselves.

A list of increased Personal Protective Equipment has been ordered for our return, including N95 masks, gowns, surgical caps, and face shields. As well, we will be implementing even more rigorous sanitization and disinfection methods. In addition, we have already purchased equipment to significantly reduce the aerosols created by any dental hygiene cleanings.

We will only be seeing 1 patient at a time and increasing the time between each patient , to ensure no 2 people are in the waiting room at the same time. As well, we will give ourselves extra time to disinfect all of the common areas including our debit terminal, door handles, counter tops and side tables, in addition to a full sterilization of the dental hygiene room.

When we are ready to return to the clinic safely you will be able to schedule your dental hygiene cleaning and teeth whitening through our online calendar.

As we receive more information from our health minister and governing bodies, we will be sure to share it.
